Sorry to say that I have a bunch of dislikes. Being set in my ways and apt to make quick assessments of people and events, I find I can get used to 'eating crow'. These are some of my 'most" dislikes:
I do love God and Jesus and Mercy and Grace and rely on them to prevent my dislikes from becoming 'hates'. David probably wrote this verse from the Holy Bible:
"The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare." (Psalm 25:14-15)
This reminds me that when I look at Jesus and he is God, I am released from the tendency to hate. That 'snare' is what seems to be the emotional state of mankind. It isn't easy to 'love' today. It seems to be 'natural' to live in prejudice where we can't separate the sinner from the sin. I find with my eyes on God, I can't truly dislike anyone since my sin is greater than theirs anyway. I don't like others saying "I" so often and just said it a bunch of times right here in this visit. It's really hard not to. I'll (said it again) work on it. Join me if you please.
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
