Physical Condition

Here we are, the day after Christmas, and all through the house are new technological gizmos, some are like a visit to the doctor's office.  My new watch tells me all about my physical condition and, for an old Aggie, I'm in pretty good shape.  It even tells me how many steps I have taken and how many hours I sleep and blood content of oxygen and even pulse rate and blood pressure.  I go through the procedures and all is well.  But!

The most important personal condition is not measured.  Nothing the genius of mankind will ever be able to tell one's spiritual condition!  Even with all the marvelous equipment and medical knowledge, Dr. Mike cannot tell me that.  We get a bill of health, or at least a bill, and that's all medical genius can provide.  We know our Physical Condition and what?  What about our spiritual condition?   You probably ask, "So What?".  Well, I'm glad you asked.  We just spent a special day with people and 'things' and 'warm fuzzies', but without the reason for the season, our physical condition is unimportant.  Our financial condition is unimportant.  Our social condition or business condition....Unimportant!

The Life we celebrate without Jesus is not as important as we think.  We've been conditioned to do so, but only "With" Jesus are we safe and secure.  What we all need is Christ and Him Crucified.  Everything else is detritus.

And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
