Here is something to keep you alert and happy if you are like me and love model kits!
My good friends out in Idaho are always looking for "kit ideas" to keep me percolating. Just last Wednesday he called and asked if I had received a package. My daughter checked and there was a package, but the label had been torn off and a new one attached. the original label, sans the corner that revealed who the sender was, was torn off. Don and Dorothy had sent it and I love it! These are special kits made by a company (probably in Germany) with an Internet address, "ugearsmodels.com" and can also be found in "Woodcraft" magazine. My problem is that once I begin a model, I can't seem to stop until I compete it. The clock and calendar took me a total of six hours. They actually 'move'. I have shared this with my family and am looking forward to a great CHRISTMAS and BIRTHDAY! The beautiful thing about this is they are made of wood and with care, punched out of a sheet and "Pegged" together, without cement! I would suggest you purchase the "tool kit" available from Ugears. Actually, these are very well constructed and don't make a 'glue' mess. My only problem is that once I begin, I must complete the project. These two took me about six hours to complete, but I have no fear of running out, if you know what I mean!
Getting older is glorious, what with God and Technology, donchaknow. Really!
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
