“Excuse me, but we are ALL “People of Color”! For the life of me, I cannot understand how, in conversations, we have come to the point of believing the simple use skin colour is so insulting. I recall, while teaching music in an elementary school in Las Vegas, when a disruptive white fifth grade boy, in a classroom filled with black students, threw a desk and called me the “n” word. The desk missed and the class laughed and he went to the office. No big deal, back then. But now, why have we allowed ourselves to be controlled by ‘Selfie”? Why have we come to the point that words are reason for war? Calling me “white” doesn’t bother unless you add “trash”. Come to think about it, that shouldn’t make a difference either. I am what God made me and so are you. Made for a purpose, with gifts to edify all of us and glorify God. The problem is that we draw our first breath as sinners and we remain sinners, worldly sinners, until we accept God’s Greatest Free Gift and repent from sin. It distresses me that we have arrived at a place where we make issue of skin color to the point of violence. Abuse simply comes natural to those whose hearts have never changed. We are selfish creatures, flawed and confused. Our first love is “ME” and we are so messed up that we take offense when another person looks at us wrongly. Political Correctness has progressed to the point that “Belief Abuse” is right around the corner. Coming Soon!
