Is not a baby anymore. She's my favorite caregiver and closest friend. We don't always agree, but that's the Austin way. I don't always do as she suggests (and she's never without one), but at the end of the day, We Love Each Other More! All my children are comfortable in their own body. They bless my heart, even though I do not hear from them often enough, but isn't that the way today?
Today is Martha Jane Austin's birthday and I never can remember her age. She seems ageless and sage. She finally got the COVID shot, but that's the Austin way. We never jump on board anything until we've weighed the costs. But that's not so about Amazon! We all love Amazon. (I wish we had all bought stock when it was first issued)
I want to take time to wish my daughter a very happy birthday along with her thousands of former students who will never forget her classroom antics (and the poor adminstrators who witnessed same). Martha retired a WINNER, and Bryan Public Schools are not the better for it. Not a day goes by that she doesn't miss her children. Same goes true from yours truly. The only good thing about retirement and old age is our fond memories of school days and a labor of love.
Happy Birthday, my precious! I promise to do one or two of your suggestions .... someday.
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my little corner studio under that shadow of Kyle Field.
