For those on an emotional rollercoaster, you are not alone! Regardless of your status in life, it just keeps getting a little more stressful, filled with "UH-OHs". The problem isn't the bumps in the road, but the assurance of our future. Way back, centuries ago, a prophet named Jeremiah faced much worse his entire life. He came to the following conclusion (Jeremiah 17: 7-8):
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
When you read his story, you will think, "Wow! This guy really was in deep trouble all his life." And he was. As a matter of fact, scripture teaches that the closer you get to God's Will, the deeper the bad stuff. Those who try to stay the course just don't go on a smooth surface. It's easy to see why so many fail. And failure isn't the problem, it's when you change the right course. Life may get a bit smoother, but life is relatively short compared to eternity. Brother, that's a long, long, long time. Talk about difficulty, we ain't seen nothing yet. Eternal existence out of the company of God just isn't what we really want, but the SINisterminister covers that fact with lies and temptations. America has been in about six decades of spiritual drought and it has become the normal. I, for one, desire a much calmer and happier life and that is the one promised to those who place their lives and trust in Jesus Christ. There is no other way. NONE! When all around us is going to HELL, we can be HEAVENbound!
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
