I have no idea where my Sam Houston State ring is today. It has probably ended up in one of my children's collection of family memorabilia, but I now where my 1969 ring from Texas A&M University is. An Aggie's ring is evidence of quality and honor. To have "completed" the course there has deep impact on a person's life forever. There is another ring now worn by an Aggie that will mean even greater honor and placement in sports and that ring will bear the name of one of my most favorite former students. Against all odds, to the amazement of all the experts, "Number 13" now has an esteemed place in the world's most prestigious hall of honor. Resoundingly, 12 and 13 turned up victorious over one of the finest professional organizations in the history of the NFL. It is always good to be an Aggie, but this morning, entering my ninety-first year on earth, I am proud of a Former Student named 'EVANS'! Suffice it to say that Tampa Bay Rocks! I can't wait to read the headlines this morning, donchaknow.
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
