I miss the regular Bible Study at a small group meeting. We were monitored and 'herded' by our Pastor. We met monthly, shared a covered dish and studied scripture and it's application to our lives. Ours met at two different homes for about 90-minutes. The majority of that time was spent enjoying each other's company and good food. Our leader and his wife now serve as missionaries to Thailand. Since I am no longer worshipping at Harvest Church in Charlotte, NC, I have lost contact with the Hills, but they continue to be in my prayers. Scripture comes alive when it is shared in comfortable settings. Even though every time we met is it was very casual, but once that Bible was opened, things became pertinent and edifying. If you are worshiping in an organized church, as about small groups. My time there will always be special and blessed.
And that's what I get from My Box of Chocolates right here in my corner studio under the shadow of Kyle Field.
